To join the Pakistan Army through the Armed Forces Nursing Service (AFNS) for the 4-Year BSc Nursing Program, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
1. Eligibility Criteria
Gender: Female only.
Marital Status: Unmarried, widowed, separated, or divorced without dependents (encumbrances).
Age Limit: 17 to 25 years.
Nationality: Pakistani citizens and domicile holders of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) / Gilgit-Baltistan. (Dual nationals must surrender non-Pakistani nationality upon final selection).
2. Educational Qualifications
Matriculation (Science): Minimum 60% marks.
FSc (Pre-Medical): Minimum 50% marks.
Hope Certificate: Students awaiting FSc Part-II results who scored at least 50% in FSc Part-I can apply by submitting a Hope Certificate signed by their college principal.
3. Physical Standards
Minimum Height: 5 feet (152.4 cm).
Weight: As per the Body Mass Index (BMI) scale.
Medical Fitness: Must be declared fit in the initial and final military medical checkups.
4. Selection ProcessStageDescription
1. RegistrationOnline via joinpakarmy.gov.pk or at the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre (AS&RC).
2. Initial TestComputer-based test including Verbal Intelligence, Non-Verbal Intelligence, and Academic MCQs (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English).
3. Medical CheckInitial physical and medical examination at the AS&RC.
4. InterviewInterview conducted by the GHQ Selection Board for shortlisted candidates.
5. Final MeritSelection based on academic background, entry test performance, and GHQ interview score.
5. Training & Service BondTraining Duration: 4 years of BSc Nursing at AFPGMI Rawalpindi or military hospitals (CMH Lahore, Multan, Kharian, Quetta, PNS Shifa).Commission: Granted the rank of Lieutenant upon successful completion of training.Service Bond: Candidates must sign a compulsory 10-year service bond with the Pakistan Armed Forces.
